Privacy & Security

Last updated 29 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Defined DayZ ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information of people who visit our website (https://defineddayz.com) or purchase from us. Please read it carefully before using the website or providing any personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information:

1.1 Information You Provide

When you log in with Steam, link Discord, make a purchase, or contact support, we may collect:

  • Your SteamID64, Steam display name, and avatar (via Steam login);
  • Your Discord ID and username (only if you choose to link Discord);
  • Your purchase history and the products delivered to your account;
  • Any proof screenshots or messages you submit for support or claims.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the website we automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited, using strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies. See Section 4 (Cookies) for details. Payment and billing details are collected and processed by our payment providers, not by us.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver your purchases — apply Priority Queue, grant skin access, assign your Discord role, and populate your dashboard;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website and our services;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, chargebacks, abuse, and technical issues;
  • Determine the correct VAT based on your payment and location evidence;
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal processes.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and where legally required:

  • Steam (Valve) — authentication;
  • Discord — role assignment and support;
  • Stripe and PayPal — payment processing;
  • CFTools — applying priority queue and in-game entitlements;
  • Our hosting and database providers — running the website securely;
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies — chiefly a login/session cookie so you stay signed in and can check out. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, but login, your dashboard, and checkout may then stop working.

5. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website and Discord may link to third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. Please review their privacy policies before interacting with them.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to deliver and support your purchases and to meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to admin tooling is limited to vetted staff, and proof screenshots you upload are visible only to staff for approval.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, open a ticket on our Discord. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Note that we may need to retain certain records where legally required or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

8. Children's Privacy

DayZ is an 18-rated (PEGI 18) game, and our website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy here with a new "last updated" date. Please review it periodically.
